British manufacturer Windracers announced that its large-capacity drone ULTRA now has a range of up to 2,000 km in a single mission, maintaining the possibility of carrying payloads of up to 200 kg.

The update places the model among the most autonomous unmanned systems in the world, expanding its potential for civil, scientific, humanitarian and military missions.

Officially presented at the LAUNCH 2026 event in London, ULTRA demonstrated the capability for fully autonomous flights and logistics operations in remote or contested locations. The company also confirmed plans to expand production, with the expectation of manufacturing hundreds of units over the next two years, meeting growing international demand.

The drone is already in use in regions such as Ukraine, Alaska, Central Africa and Antarctica, supporting research, transport of supplies and operations in extreme environments. According to Windracers, the new configuration will make it possible to further expand the reach of these missions, reducing human risks and operational costs.

For British authorities and experts, ULTRA represents a strategic advance in unmanned aviation. Combining large payload capacity, long range and autonomy, the system reinforces the UK’s position in the development of sovereign technologies and consolidates the role of drones as key players in future aerial operations.
