Jair Bolsonaro’s lawyers requested authorization from the Federal Supreme Court (STF) so that the former president can receive a visit from the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), in Papudinha, where he is imprisoned in Brasília.
The minister reporting the case, Alexandre de Moraes, will determine whether to accept the request. If authorized, it will be Tarcísio’s first meeting with Bolsonaro since he was arrested in a closed regime and since the former president’s son, Flavio Bolsonaro, was chosen as a pre-candidate for president in 2026.
Requests were also made for visits from a brother of the former first lady, Michelle Bolsonaro, and the vice-president of the Liberal Party (PL) of Rondônia, Bruno Scheid.
