United States President Donald Trump once again threatened to attack Iran again this Monday (29), if the Middle Eastern country tries to rebuild its national nuclear program.
The entire Iranian project was destroyed in June this year. Trump said that if Iran is indeed trying to rebuild its nuclear testing system, the consequences will be “even more powerful” than last time. In June, the United States attacked Iran during the so-called “12 Day War”.
The conflict began after Israel launched bombings to destroy Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. During the war, American forces struck three nuclear facilities. Trump celebrated the operation and declared that the offensive had completely wiped out Iran’s testing program.
Trump also said that he remains open to negotiating a nuclear deal with Iran. According to him, this would be the “smartest” option.
