Minister Dias Toffoli, of the Federal Supreme Court, decided to maintain the confrontation determined in the investigation investigating irregularities involving Banco Master. Toffoli rejected the embargoes presented by the Central Bank, which attempted to block the measure.
The hearing is scheduled for next Tuesday (30) and involves Daniel Vorcaro, CEO of Banco Master, and Paulo Henrique Costa, former president of BRB. In the decision, the minister states that neither the monetary authority nor the BC Director of Inspection, Ailton de Aquino, are being investigated in the case and, therefore, are not targets of the measures under investigation.
Toffoli highlighted, however, that as the object of the investigation involves the actions of the national regulatory authority, the participation of the Central Bank in the testimonies and confrontations is considered relevant.
