The objective was to find out about the progress of the investigations involving Banco Master, which is defended by the office of the STF minister’s wife in Brasília. The information was published today (25), by BandNews FM radio columnist, Mônica Bergamo, who listened to bankers and authorities in recent days.
The director of the PF, Andrei Rodrigues, even informed President Lula about the case and heard: “do whatever is necessary”. When contacted, the general delegate of the Federal Police denied the information and said that he never spoke to Alexandre de Moraes about the investigations involving the Master.
UNDERSTAND THE CASE
The context involves the actions of Banco Master, whose president, Daniel Vorcaro, was arrested by the Federal Police in November, and the subsequent liquidation of the institution by the Central Bank. The episode gained greater repercussion after reports highlighted possible pressures related to the attempted sale of the bank to Banco de Brasília (BRB).
The situation also began to be analyzed from the perspective of possible conflicts of interest, since Viviane Barci de Moraes, wife of the minister of the Federal Supreme Court, works as a lawyer for Banco Master. Her office signed a contract worth R$129 million with the financial institution.
