Federal Supreme Court (STF) minister Alexandre de Moraes scheduled custody hearings for this Saturday (27) for ten people convicted in the case investigating the attempted coup d’état. This morning, those under investigation were subject to house arrest warrants issued by the minister himself.
The hearings will be held via videoconference and led by assistant judge Luciana Yuki Fugishita Sorrentino, who is part of Moraes’ office.
Also this Saturday, the minister ordered the house arrest of those convicted. Among the targets are seven Army soldiers, a Federal Police delegate, the president of the Instituto Voto Legal, Carlos Cesar Moretzsohn Rocha, and Filipe Martins, former international affairs advisor to former president Jair Bolsonaro.
All those involved respond as defendants in Units 2, 3 and 4 of the criminal action that investigates the coup plot. Despite having already been convicted by the Supreme Court, they filed appeals and, until then, they were free to comply with the decisions.
