A knife attack at a rubber factory in Japan this Friday (26) left 14 injured, according to firefighters. All are conscious and received medical attention. The incident occurred at the Yokohama Rubber factory, located in the city of Mishima, about 80 km from the capital Tokyo, according to Japanese public broadcaster “NHK”. ✅ Follow the g1 international news channel on WhatsApp An emergency call was issued by a factory employee at around 4:30 am Brasília time (4:30 pm local time) reporting that “people were stabbed by someone with a knife and a liquid spray was spread”, Tomoharu Sugiyama, from the Mishima city fire department, told the AFP news agency. According to “NHK”, the person suspected of carrying out the attack has been arrested and authorities are investigating the incident. Until the last update of this report, further details about the attack were not known, such as what liquid was spread by the suspect, nor whether he was an employee of the factory, for example. Of the 14 people injured, six were hospitalized and eight received treatment at the scene, according to firefighters. No more detailed information was released about the victims’ health status.
