The face-to-face hearing involving the investigation into fraud at Banco Master is scheduled for next Tuesday (30), at the Federal Supreme Court (STF). At the hearing, the versions of Daniel Vorcaro, CEO of Banco Master, and Paulo Henrique Costa, former president of BRB, must be compared.
Minister Dias Toffoli decided this Saturday (27) to maintain the participation of the Central Bank’s inspection director, Ailton. The minister’s decision was motivated by an appeal presented by the BC to question the director’s participation in the confrontation.
Toffoli clarified that neither the monetary authority nor the BC Director of Inspection, Ailton de Aquino, are being investigated in the case and, therefore, are not targets of the measures under investigation. The decision to liquidate Master was taken unanimously by the Central Bank board.
