The INSS CPMI rejected, this Thursday (4), the summons of Fábio Luís Lula da Silva, known as Lulinha, son of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and the Attorney General of the Union, Jorge Messias, to provide clarifications to the Commission.
The request was presented by the Novo party, which argues that there is financial evidence that points to a possible connection between operators of the fraud scheme and people close to the President of the Republic, including Lulinha. The request is signed by deputies Marcel van Hattem (Novo-RS), Eduardo Girão (Novo-CE), Adriana Ventura (Novo-SP) and Luiz Lima (Novo-RJ).
The document also mentions Ricardo Bimbo, PT leader, who allegedly received more than R$8.4 million from a company involved in the scheme and, in the same period, paid a bill to Lulinha’s accountant, who is being investigated in Operação Fim da Linha on suspicion of money laundering, according to Novo’s application.
Furthermore, Jorge Messias, who was the name indicated by Lula to take Barroso’s place in the Federal Supreme Court (STF), was summoned to provide clarifications to the collegiate about the measures adopted by the AGU in relation to the scheme of undue discounts on retirement and pensions for INSS insured people.
There were seven requests on the agenda that requested the presence of the AGU in the collegiate.
