Cristina Kirchner is hospitalized and operated on for appendicitis, says newspaper

According to the Argentine newspaper “La Nación”, Kirchner was examined by doctors in her apartment and, with judicial authorization, was taken to the Otamendi Sanatorium, a hospital in the Recoleta region and a few kilometers from the former Peronist president’s home. This was the first time that Kirchner left his home since he began serving house arrest in June.
