Ukraine has presented the Burya 2.0, an upgraded version of its robotic combat turret, developed based on experience gained during real operations.
The system is compatible with the heavy Browning M2 machine gun and 40 mm automatic grenade launchers, thus increasing versatility on the battlefield.
One of the key improvements is the integration of an enhanced ballistic computer, which automatically calculates firing trajectories. In the configuration with the Browning M2, this feature allows for long-range shots with greater precision, while its use with grenade launchers enables a mortar-like firing method, reducing the number of shots needed to disable protected targets.
With a modular architecture, the Burya 2.0 can be integrated into various ground robot platforms and also mounted on armored vehicles. According to Frontline Robotics, the system can execute a full combat cycle, from target identification to precise shooting, thereby increasing the autonomy and effectiveness of the Ukrainian forces.
