French actress, cinema icon and animal rights activist, Brigitte Bardot, died this Sunday (28) at the age of 91.
The information was confirmed by the Brigitte Bardot Foundation, which was chaired by the actress. The cause of death has not yet been released.
The actress was hospitalized in October this year in Toulon, close to her home in Saint-Tropez, to undergo surgery, but was discharged the same month.
Born on September 28, 1934, in Paris, she became one of the most recognized figures in world cinema.
Throughout her career, Bardot starred in around 50 films and also worked as a singer and model, becoming one of the most photographed and talked about artists of her generation.
