A Russian general was killed in a bomb attack this Monday (22), in Moscow. According to investigators, the bomb was placed under the car in which the general was traveling and Ukraine is suspected of participating in the action.
Fanil Sarvarov was head of the operational training directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Army. Considered very experienced, Sarvarov was in the war in Chechnya and organized the Russian intervention in Syria in 2015 and 2016. He was also seen as an important asset of the Russian Armed Forces, including in the current war in Ukraine, which will complete four years.
Investigations into the case continue, including into Ukrainian involvement in the attack. So far, Ukraine has not commented on what happened.
