A YouTuber who was riding a motorbike in the desert ended up recording the efficiency of a long-distance rescue after his friend was involved in a serious accident.
Adam Riemannan Australian motorcyclist with more than 900 thousand subscribers on his YouTube channel, is in the Simpson Desert, Australia, with his friend Rossto test BMW R 1150 GS Adventure new.
The bike had some issues, but was still “rideable.” Even so, as an experienced adventure rider, Riemann still equipped himself with a satellite tracker before starting the trip with his friend.

Unfortunately, not long after the trip started, Ross had a serious accident. After falling off the motorbike, he hit his head and told Riemann that he could not move his arms and legs.
Some time later, he regained feeling in his legs, but the extreme heat in the Simpson Desert did not help his recovery.

While waiting for medical help, Riemann tried hard to keep Ross cool and make sure he didn’t move, so the injury wouldn’t get worse.
Riemann cut off part of Ross’s clothing to improve air circulation, then created a makeshift shelter to keep Ross under cover. They also had several bottles of water that he poured over Ross’ body to provide maximum cooling.
Some time later, a rescue helicopter arrived at the location. The medical team quickly brought Ross out of shock and pain before stabilizing him so he could be taken to hospital for examination, diagnosis and treatment.
According to comments Riemann added to the video posted on YouTube, Ross appeared to be recovering quickly and did not suffer any spinal injuries—which had previously been his biggest fear following the crash.
However, the video is a unique illustration of the efficiency of long-distance rescue and the importance of always going on an adventure with a friend who can help in an emergency situation.
