An old ghost returned to haunt the White House this Wednesday (12): the case of Jeffrey Epstein, a millionaire accused of sexually exploiting teenagers. Democratic lawmakers revealed three emails from Epstein that suggest Trump knew about the girls. In one of the messages, from 2011, Epstein says that Trump spent hours with one of them. Following the release of the emails, congressmen from Trump’s party made public 23,000 pages with documents about the case. The American president has always denied any involvement in the case and, this Wednesday, said that the Democrats created a hoax to divert attention from the party’s failure during the biggest shutdown in US history.
