The government of Rio de Janeiro (RJ) delivered, last Monday (17), to the Federal Supreme Court (STF) a report on the mega-operation in the Penha and Alemão complexes with numbers that do not match the balance sheets already released.
The document, signed by governor Cláudio Castro, was sent at the request of minister Alexandre de Moraes, temporary rapporteur for ADPF das Favelas. He asked for details of the action and pointed out inconsistencies between the data reported by the Public Security Secretariat and other bodies, such as the Public Ministry.
In the report, the government records 100 people detained. Of these, 17 had outstanding arrest warrants and 83 were arrested in the act. However, the most recent report from the Civil Police shows 99 prisoners.
The material also updates the total number of rifles seized. Although the previous data indicated 93 weapons, the government now cites 96.
After identifying discrepancies, Moraes ordered the sending of additional information. These include autopsy reports and the preservation of images from body cameras used by police officers during the operation.
