The mega police operation in Rio de Janeiro reignited the debate on public security in the country and interrupted the recovery in popularity of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). According to data released this Wednesday (12), disapproval of the government went from 49% to 50%, while approval fell from 40% to 47%, in the first negative fluctuation in evaluations since May.
