According to a close friend of the driver, Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher probably never appear in public again.
Schumacher, 56, disappeared from the spotlight after his serious skiing accident in December 2013, in which he suffered a traumatic brain injury when he fell and hit his head on a rock in the French Alps.
The driver spent 250 days in an induced coma after the incident, which took place just a year after his retirement from Formula 1. Since then, Schumacher’s health condition has been kept strictly secret by the family.

Now has Richard Hopkinsformer operations manager at Red Bullwho befriended the motorsport icon in the 1990s, explained in a recent interview that he believes the F1 star will never be fit enough to appear in public again.
“I haven’t heard anything recently. As far as I know [Schumacher] a Finnish doctor, his personal physician. I don’t think we’ll ever see Michael again,” Hopkins said SPORTbible.
“I feel a little uncomfortable talking about his health because of the secrecy the family wants to maintain – and for good reasons.”
“I can make a comment or have an opinion, but I’m not part of that inner circle Jean Todtno Ross Brawnno Gerhard Bergerwho visit Michael. I am very far from that,” he added.
Hopkins also said that even the few people still close to the Schumacher family have not provided any information about “how Michael is actually doing.”
“Even if you offered Ross a lot of good red wine, I don’t think he would give anything away. I think there is a mutual respect between those who visit Michael, not to share anything.”
“That’s what the family wants. I think that’s fair and respectful to the family. Even if I knew something, the family would be disappointed if I told them,” Hopkins concluded.
