Former president Jair Bolsonaro will receive full-time medical care while serving preventive detention at the Federal Police Superintendence (PF), in the Federal District.
With the authorization of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), the former president’s personal medical team will also be able to provide care to him.
After being preventively arrested this Saturday (22), Jair Bolsonaro received, in the first few hours after his arrest, a dose of prescription drugs and antibiotics that he uses daily, according to information provided by members of the PF.
The PF medical team on duty accompanied the former president shortly after his arrival at the corporation’s Superintendency, ensuring access to medications that are already part of his regular treatment. Agents who had direct contact with Bolsonaro report that he is “calm”, although “not very communicative”, maintaining minimal interactions with police officers and civil servants.
Bolsonaro will remain in custody there until the custody hearing, scheduled for this Sunday (23), at 12 pm, via videoconference. The procedure will evaluate prison conditions, but will not discuss the merits of the decision taken by Alexandre de Moraes.
