Epstein said Trump “spent hours” with trafficking victim, emails show

by Marcelo Moreira

Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released documents last Wednesday (12) showing that Jeffrey Epstein mentioned Donald Trump by name in correspondence over the last 15 years.

The emails were sent to Ghislaine Maxwell, a former Epstein associate who was convicted of sex trafficking. In the conversations, Epstein claims that Trump spent considerable time with a woman who would be a victim of Epstein’s sex trafficking.

The emails also include a message in which Epstein claims Trump “knew about the girls.” Trump did not receive or send any of the messages, which largely predate his term as president.

He has also not been charged with any criminal wrongdoing in relation to Epstein. The White House press secretary criticized Committee Democrats for releasing the messages, alleging that members “selectively leaked emails to the liberal media in order to create a false narrative to smear President Trump.”

Jeffrey Epstein was a financier convicted of soliciting prostitution from a minor. He was found dead in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial for sex trafficking and pedophilia.
