The mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes, made an appeal on social media this Sunday (30) to Flamengo fans who took to the streets of the capital of Rio de Janeiro to celebrate winning the fourth Libertadores title.
In the publication, Paes asked Flamengo fans to stop climbing on marquees and other structures that “were not made to support this weight”.
“Dear Flamenguistas, get off the marquees and other structures that were not made to support this weight. Celebrate responsibly! For your attention, thank you”, wrote the mayor in “X”.
From the early hours of the morning, thousands of fans gathered in the center of Rio to celebrate. The region received a special operation, with closed streets and reinforced policing.
An electric trio with the red and black delegation was prepared to leave Rua Primeiro de Março towards Avenida Presidente Antônio Carlos, a journey of less than 1 km.
