Two suspects died and 16 were arrested in yet another phase of Operation Containment, by the Civil and Military police, against the expansion of the Red Command (CV) in the Vila Kennedy community, in Bangu, West Zone of Rio de Janeiro.
Two other criminals were injured in a confrontation with police officers. Two rifles, a pistol and grenades were seized from them.
During the searches, agents found a large quantity of drugs hidden by criminals at the school. The practice is considered recurrent by the faction, which uses teaching units as bunkers.
Participating in the action are the Police Operations Battalion (BOPE), the Special Resources Coordination (Core) and specialized police stations, such as Auto Robbery and Theft and Narcotics Suppression.
Agents from the Bangu Battalion and the Specialized Expressway Police Battalion also provide support.
