The National Civil Construction Index (INCC) rose 0.27% in October, according to data released this Tuesday (11) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). The variation represents a slowdown in relation to September, when the indicator had registered an increase of 0.50%.
As a result, the sector achieved one of the lowest increases of the year, only surpassing February’s performance. In the last 12 months, the rate reached 5.30%, below the 5.58% recorded in the previous period.
Compared to October 2024, when the variation had been 0.53%, the result reinforces the trend of cooling costs in civil construction.
The INCC measures the evolution of prices for materials, equipment and labor used in the sector. The deceleration of the index indicates that, although there are still increases, the pace of cost growth is losing strength throughout 2025.
