Bangkok, Thailand – November 11, 2025 – Bell Textron Inc., a Textron Inc. group company, announced the successful completion of the revitalization, modernization and delivery of a Bell 212 helicopter to the Royal Thai Navy (RTN).
The upgrade program was designed to extend the operational life of the aircraft, including improvements to the fuel system, avionics and paint scheme, among other components. The entire process, from inspections to installations, was carried out by the Bell Asia Service Center team, located in Singapore.

According to Chris SchaeferVice President of Global Customer Solutions at Bell, the Bell 212 remains essential for the Thai Navy. “The Bell 212 has been a mainstay of the RTN fleet for decades, supporting various missions including humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations.
It was an honor to receive the trust of such an important partner to guarantee the continued performance of their device. Our commitment to the RTN remains strong: unlocking the full potential of their fleet and strengthening aviation capabilities at all levels,” he stressed.
To celebrate the project’s completion, Bell also presented a personalized crystal plaque to the RTN and the Royal Airport Service (RAS) at Defense & Security 2025, Bangkok.

Introduced in 1968, the Bell 212 continues to be used in critical missions around the world, including aerial firefighting and public safety operations. Over more than three decades of production, approximately 900 units were manufactured, and its legacy continues with the Bell 412, the medium twin-engine helicopter that represents the natural evolution of the platform.
