Among the new features, the Yamaha announced the MOTOROiD:Λan autonomous motorcycle capable of balancing itself and can stay upright even if it falls.

The motorcycle was first presented in 2017 and improved in 2023, but now it features reinforcement learning, a type of AI that trains the vehicle in virtual environments before transferring the acquired knowledge to the real world.

This means that the bike is able to “decide” when to stand up and maintain balance. In a press release, the Yamaha revealed that the objective is to explore new forms of interaction between humans and machines.
