The victim was identified as Bernadette Delmottewho lived in Saône-et-Loire, in eastern France. The case happened on June 13th.
According to local media reports, she put her head inside the car to reach the handbrake, which she had forgotten to put on.
Unfortunately, she accidentally pressed the automatic window closing button, so the window closed right around her neck.
Delmotte didn’t show up for dinner that night and didn’t answer several calls, so his friends visited his home, where they found his body stuck in his car window.
The autopsy determined that Delmotte died of asphyxiation and his death was considered accidental, with no crime involved, according to the channel France 3.
