Hamas releases all 20 Israeli hostages Return of hostages The release is part of the ceasefire agreement signed between Israel and the terrorist group on Wednesday (8). There were 48 hostages held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Of these, 20 were released alive. Israel says the remaining 28 hostages are dead, but the status of two of them is still officially unknown. The terrorist group asked for more time to return the bodies of the hostages who died. The whereabouts of some of them are unknown.
