Soldiers of the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Galicia Airborne Forces strengthened their tactical capacity on the Ukrainian front by receiving American-made M2 Bradley infantry combat vehicles.
According to a video shared by the brigade’s press service, M2 Bradley vehicles have been officially included in the unit’s inventory.
But with the increased use of drones on the front lines, the use of these vehicles has become more limited — they are deployed only when deemed necessary.

To adapt to new combat conditions, armored vehicles were fitted with additional protection structures against enemy drones — these metal cages, known among soldiers as “grills” or “braziers”, were designed to reduce the impact of small explosive drone attacks.
Ruslan, one of the vehicle commanders, expressed his hope for Bradley’s performance and new technological solutions:
“I read that Bradleys were extremely effective during Operation Desert Storm in Iraq. I hope a solution will soon be found against fiber optic drones in our war as well. Then this vehicle will prove its value again.”

The Bukovyna Brigade also recently received vehicles of the same model, further strengthening the presence of American-made equipment in the Ukrainian army.
The M2 Bradley is considered one of the most versatile infantry combat vehicles in the world. 25mm M242 Bushmaster Its autocannon can penetrate the armor of most Russian vehicles and fire up to 500 rounds per minute in single or burst mode.
The United States has supplied M2 Bradley vehicles to Ukraine as part of military aid packages sent since the beginning of the conflict.
