United States President Donald Trump told Israel’s government on Friday to “immediately” to interrupt Gaza’s bombing, shortly after the terrorist group Hamas said he agrees to release all hostages that remain retained at the Palestinian enclave.
“Based on the newly released statement by Hamas, I believe they are ready for lasting peace. Israel must immediately interrupt the bombing to Gaza, so we can redeem hostages safely and quickly! At this time, it is too dangerous to do that,” Trump wrote on the Truth Social Network.
“We are already discussing details to be right. It is not just Gaza, it is a long time for peace in the Middle East,” added the US president.
Earlier, Hamas had announced that he decided to free all Israeli hostages under the terms presented by Trump earlier this week and signaled the willingness to immediately negotiate the details of the peace agreement.
Hamas said it agrees to free “all Israeli prisoners, both alive and dead,” “whenever the conditions on the ground for the exchange are fulfilled.”
There are still 48 hostages in Gaza by the terrorist group and allied militias; It is believed that only 20 are alive.
Hamas was also willing to start “immediate negotiations through the mediators” to discuss the details of the plan.
The terrorist group said it renews “its agreement to deliver the administration of the Gaza Strip to a Palestinian Organization of Independents (technocrats), based on Palestinian national consensus and Arab and Islamic support.”
On Friday, Trump had given Hamas a deadline until Sunday, at 18h of Washington (19h of Brasilia), to accept the Plan of Peace he proposed for the enclave and threatened that otherwise there would be “hell like never before he was seen” against the terrorist group.
