United States President Donald Trump participated in the Gaza Peace Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, this Monday (13), at which he signed the agreement to end the two-year war between Israel and Hamas in the Middle East.
During his speech at the meeting, which brought together different regional and European leaders, the republican addressed especially the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, one of his main allies on the global stage.
Praise for the Italian authority gained public repercussions. Trump called Meloni a “beautiful” and “young woman” who has made a difference in her country as head of government.
After the comment, the American president added that making a statement like this today could become the “end of his political career.” Then, he resumes praising the prime minister.
“She’s a beautiful, young woman. Now, if you use the word ‘beautiful’ in America about a woman, it’s the end of your political career. But I’m going to take my chances,” Trump said.
The American added to the praise that Meloni is “incredible”, a “very respected” leader in Italy and a “very successful politician”.
