Trump criticizes Time for his photo on the cover

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, criticized Time this Tuesday (14) for a photo of him that the American magazine placed on the cover of its edition this week.

The publication highlighted the agreement brokered by the United States that allowed the release of Israeli hostages who remained in the hands of the terrorist group Hamas. The cover headline says “His Triumph” (Trump’s), but the photo displeased the Republican president.

“Time magazine wrote a relatively good story about me, but the photo might be the worst photo ever. They ‘disappeared’ with my hair and also put something floating on top of my head that looks like a floating crown, but extremely small. Very strange! I never liked taking photos from low angles, but this is a terrible photo and deserves to be criticized. What are they doing and why?” Trump wrote on the Truth Social network.

The American president often makes public criticisms when photos or portraits of him that he dislikes are released. In March, the Colorado Capitol, seat of the American state’s Legislative Branch, removed a portrait of Trump that was on a wall next to paintings depicting other presidents of the country, following criticism from the Republican.

At the time, he said the blame would lie with the Democratic governor of Colorado, Jared Polis. “No one likes a bad photo or painting of themselves, but the one in Colorado, at the State Capitol, placed by the governor, along with all the other presidents, was deliberately defaced to a degree that I may not have even seen before,” Trump wrote.

“The artist [a retratista local Sarah Broadman] also painted the president [Barack] Obama, and he’s wonderful, but mine is really the worst. She must have lost her talent with age,” the president added.
