At least four people were injured in a run over, followed by a stabbing, in front of a synagogue in Manchester, the UK on Thursday (2).
The attack occurs during the Yom Kippur holiday, a sacred day in the Jewish calendar in which many Jews frequent religious spaces. According to police, the perpetrator of the attack was shot. Details of your condition have not yet been reported.
Authorities reported that the perpetrator did not have access to the Hebrew Hebrew Congregation Synagogue, despite having carried out the attack in front of the scene and injured members of the Jewish institution – some with running over and others with stab wounds.
Manchester police released a statement later saying that a driver near the synagogue fired the authorities after witnessing “a man bleeding on the street.”
The source told to BBC Radio Manchester who saw another man “lying on the floor” in front of a car and heard people shouting. The witness also described that he saw someone else, a man, who, he said carrying a knife and was “stabbing the window” of a nearby building “trying to get in.”

British Premier says he is “horrified” with the attack
British Prime Minister Keir Strmer spoke after the attack, saying he was “horrified” with the situation. He thanked the emergency services for their rapid response.
“The fact that this happened on Yom Kippur, the most sacred day of the Jewish calendar, makes everything even more horrible,” he said in an X post. “My thoughts are with the loved ones of all affected.” Strmer announced an emergency meeting in London, scheduled for this afternoon.
Manchester mayor Andy Burnham asked the public to avoid the area after the “serious incident”.
“Obviously, what we would all like to recognize is how people in our Jewish community are feeling now,” he told BBC Radio Manchester.
“I can only imagine how people are feeling when they hear this news, the fear it causes,” Burnham added.
With the bombing, the authorities began Operation Plato, which involves a set of emergency services to large -scale incidents, including terrorist attacks.
