The Public Ministry and the Civil Police of the state of São Paulo launched “Operation Recon” this Friday (24), which carries out 25 search and seizure warrants against suspects of monitoring and planning the execution of authorities in the region of Presidente Prudente.
The investigations revealed the existence of an organized crime cell structured in a shared and highly disciplined manner, tasked with carrying out surveys of public authorities and their families, with the purpose of preparing attacks against previously selected targets.
According to the elements collected by the agents, the criminals had already mapped the daily habits of the authorities and had a fragmented organizational scheme, in which each member performed a specific function, without knowing the entire plan, making it difficult to detect suspicious movements.
