Misty Copeland is dancing into a new chapter with her family by her side.
More than two decades after making her professional debut at American Ballet Theatre, the dancer performed her last show with the company in New York City on Oct. 22. And after the monumental moment, her husband Olu Evans and their 3-year-old son Jackson adorably joined her on stage for the final bow.
In a video posted to her Instagram Oct. 23Misty shared several clips of the different dances she performed during the gala. And afterwards, she stood next to her husband and son, who donned matching suits and delivered her gorgeous bouquets of flowers, as confetti rained down around them and the crowd cheered.
“Last night was a moment I’ll carry with me forever,” Misty captioned the heartwarming footage. “After 25 years with American Ballet Theatre, I took my final bow surrounded by the company and community that have shaped my life and career.”
