This Thursday (2), Health Minister Alexandre Padilha confirmed that cases of methanol poisoning add up to 11 confirmations and another 48 follow suspected in Brazil.
In Sao Paulo alone, 52 people have already consumed the chemist through adulterated alcohol. Among the 41 cases that follow in investigation, five deaths are also being determined: three occurred in São Paulo, involving men from 45, 50 and 70 years old, and two in São Bernardo do Campo, where the victims were 49 and 58 years old.
