Large fire reaches refinery near Los Angeles

A large fire hit the Chevron refinery in El Segundo, near Los Angeles, California, United States.

The information was confirmed by California Governor Gavin Newsom’s office on social network X.

“Our office is coordinated in real time with local and state agencies to protect the community around and ensure public safety.”

Local authorities advised residents to remain indoors.

In a published statement, it was informed that there was no immediate threat to public safety and that no evacuation had been ordered.
