And while Kevin emphasized that Preston and Jayden had a “transformative” experience in Hawaii, Jayden has already returned to Los Angeles to get serious about his music career.
“Jayden has already returned to L.A., chasing his music dreams,” Kevin shared. “Preston is finding his way as an adult. Watching both of them grow into themselves has filled me with pride. We’ve done everything we could to prepare them for life, and I know they’re ready.”
Elsewhere in his book, Kevin expanded on his sons’ challenging relationship with their mother, sharing that they were often too scared to even stay at her home. However, the DJ said that both Preston and Jayden remained close with Britney’s siblings Jamie Lynn Spears and especially brother Bryan Spearsadding, “It made me happy to see that there was a good connection there, and came at a time when they really needed it.”
In response to the claims Kevin made in his upcoming book, a rep for Britney said in a statement to E! News Oct. 14 that “once again he and others are profiting off her and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin.”
“All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James and their well-being during this sensationalism,” the rep noted. “She detailed her journey in her memoir [The Woman in Me].”
