Keith Urban is hitting pause on the music while he recovers.
The country superstar had to cancel the Oct. 16 Greenville, S.C., stop on his High and Alive tour after a mild illness.
“Keith Urban has been advised by his longtime laryngologist dr. Garrett Gaartsfrom the Vanderbilt Voice Center, to cancel his performance in Greenville, SC tonight at Bon Secours Wellness Arena due to laryngitis which began earlier this week,” the statement on the Bon Secours Wellness Arena website read Oct. 16. “He has been placed on complete vocal rest.”
As for taking the stage for his upcoming show in Nashville, Oct. 17, the statement added, “Dr. Garrett is optimistic that he will be back onstage for his Nashville show.”
For his part, Keith expressed his regrets for missing the concert.
“Hey Greenville, I’m so SO sorry to have to cancel the show,” the “Let it Roll” singer said in a statement on the site. “I know all the logistics it takes to get to a concert these days and I’ve never taken any of that, or any of YOU for granted. I’m looking forward to getting back there when we can!!!!!”
