Jen Affleck’s Husband Asks for “Prayers” as She Navigates Illness Amid ‘Dancing With the Stars’
Jen Affleck dedicated her week to feeling better.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, who is competing on this season of Dancing With the Starsshowed up to dance for the Oct. 14 “Dedication Night” with pro partner Jan Ravnik after spending the week sick in bed.
Jen and Jan danced a Viennese Waltz to Lauren Daigle‘s song “Rescue” in honor of her mom Maria as well as her and husband Zac Affleck‘s kids Nora3, Lucas2, and Penelope3 months.
“This last year has been one of the hardest years of my life with prenatal and postpartum depression—if you’re a mom, you know,” Jen shared of the meaningful dance during the episode. “I didn’t realize how much my mom went through until I became a mother myself. So, this is for all the moms out there.”
The pair received a score of eight from judge Carrie Ann Inabaseven from guest judge Kym Johnsonseven from judge Bruno Tonioli and seven from judge Derek Hough.
“That was the most passionate dance you’ve performed yet,” Carrie Ann said of their performance. “I see where you get your courage from. There was just something profound.”
