by Marcelo Moreira

This Tuesday (14), it was announced that inflation in Argentina increased by 2.1% in September, the highest monthly rate since April this year. The result, which was expected by experts, comes on the eve of the mid-term parliamentary elections.

With this performance, the consumer price index accumulated an increase of 22% in the year and 31.8% in the last 12 months.

Among the sectors that contributed most to the increase in the month are: housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, in addition to education. Soon after, increases in the segments of transportation, health and household items, such as maintenance and household equipment, stand out.
