The General Directorate for Armaments of France (DGA) received the Airbus H160 helicopter, which will be used by the EPNER testing school to train future pilots, engineers and aviation staff.
The H160 will replace the older Dauphin SA 365 N, which has been in operation since the age of 80, and brings improved skills and performance to flight test programs.

Patrice Gaillon, Deputy Director of Epner, emphasized the importance of a new machine for the modernization of the DGA fleet and for training instructors and support teams that must quickly integrate it into the existing curriculum.
Thanks to advanced avionics, improved aerodynamics and modern mission systems, the H160 offers excellent flight characteristics and operational flexibility.
The helicopter will also serve as a platform on which students will be able to practice with the latest technologies, which will prepare them for complex challenges of air and space tests. The arrival of the H160 is complemented by the H225 HBE, which is already in operation, strengthens the French infrastructure of flight tests and contributes to the continuous modernization of the DGA fleet, in accordance with the growing needs of defensive and space programs.
