The senator and president of Progressistas (PP), Ciro Nogueira, told Canal Livre, from Band, that he prefers to have just one right-wing candidate if it is a name that “unifies everyone” running in the 2026 presidential elections and defended the candidacy of Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans). In addition to the governor of São Paulo, he sees the governor of Paraná, Ratinho Júnior (PSD), as another viable name for next year’s election. Ciro also defended the dosimetry project in the National Congress.
Political scientist and columnist for BandNews TV, Fernando Schüler, spoke about Ciro Nogueira’s participation in Canal Livre and commented on the 2026 electoral race.
