Formula 1’s Mexico Grand Prix is set to be another key race in the 2025 title race.
Championship leader Oscar Piastri has been struggling at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez and will start the race from seventh, having gained a spot following Carlos Sainz’ carryover grid penalty from Austin.
Meanwhile, Piastri’s team-mate and closest challenger Lando Norris seized pole position, and a resurgent Max Verstappen took fifth place in qualifying, meaning the standings could become even tighter following Sunday’s race.
The Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, starting from second and third, might play a key role in the championship battle as they interfere with the protagonists.
