An electrical fire hit the home of striker Vinicius Júnior this Thursday morning (9). The house is located in the La Moraleja condominium, in Alcobendas, an upscale area of Madrid. The emergency alarm was triggered at around 6 am (Brasília time) and two teams from the Fire Department were mobilized to contain the flames.
According to the corporation, professionals managed to contain the fire and ventilate the parts of the house that were affected. According to the agents, the smoke spread over two floors of the property, but there were no reports of injuries or poisoning.
Investigations indicate that the fire was caused by a short circuit or an electrical fault in the sauna in the basement of the house, which was completely destroyed.
Vinicius Jr was not at home at the time when the incident happened. He traveled to Seoul to participate in a friendly match between the Brazilian team and South Korea, scheduled for this Friday (10), at 8am.
