DWTS’ Pasha Pashkov Reacts to Scoring Criticism

by Marcelo Moreira

Pasha Pashkov isn’t trying to make a song and dance.

After Dancing With the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba sparked online conversation about the show’s scoring system with her comments that Pasha’s dances with partner Danielle Fishel were beginning to look the same, the professional dancer came the judges’ defense.

“I am in the competition, so I might be biased,” he told E! News following the series’ Oct. 21 episode, “but in reality, I think judges have the hardest job. Because it’s one thing to give your opinion, you know, in a comment online or just in passing, but to then actually make that decision and pick up that number in front of millions of people watching, knowing that you might get a backlash on it is not easy.”

It’s why he thinks Carrie Ann, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli “are doing the hardest job,” adding, “I’m sure they’re just trying to do the best that they can.”

As for Danielle, she’s glad the judges aren’t ones to mince words.
