The aircraft carrier USS Gerald Ford and its strike group, which includes three destroyers — the USS Mahan, USS Bainbridge and USS Winston Churchill —, squadrons of F-18 fighters and attack helicopters, was dispatched to the Caribbean Sea, where it is expected to arrive within a few days. USS is the acronym in English for United States Ships, or “ships of the United States”.
