Cardi B expects her kids to make money moves, too.
A month after the “Bodak Yellow” rapper announced she is pregnant with her fourth baby, her first with boyfriend Stefon Diggsshe revealed what would be the “worst disappointment” to her as a parent.
“Please don’t be lazy,” Cardi—mom to Culture7, Wave4, and Blossom13 months, with ex Offset—explained during her Oct. 6 appearance on On Purpose with Jay Shetty. “Don’t be a bum. Some people have the look, the intelligence, the talent. Some people really have that. But they don’t go nowhere because they’re lazy.”
And though the 32-year-old’s 15 minutes is lasting long as hell, she doesn’t want her kids resting on her or their fathers’ legacies.
“Don’t just be, ‘Oh your parents are this and that,’” she continued. “No, be your own person. Be your own human. Be something. Be something you could be proud of.”
Indeed, Cardi wants her kids to go nowhere but up—but she “doesn’t give a f–k” what kind of work they pursue. As she added, “There’s no way I’m busting my ass for y’all motherf–kers just so y’all can end up not being s–t.”
