Bijou Phillips is making a big move on behalf of her daughter.
The Almost Famous star—who is mom to Fianna Francis Masterson11, with ex Danny Masterson—has filed a petition to legally change her daughter’s name, according to court documents obtained by E! News Oct. 25.
In the filing, the 45-year-old asked that Fianna’s name be changed to Fianna Francis Phillipsreplacing the That ‘70s Show alum’s last name with her own while he serves a sentence of 30 years to life in prison for two counts of rape.
E! News has reached out to reps for Phillips and Masterson for comment but has not heard back.
Masterson, 49, was arrested on three charges of forcible rape in 2020 for sexually assaulting three women at his Los Angeles home in separate incidents between 2001 and 2003. Following a mistrial in 2022, the actor—who pled not guilty to the charges—was convicted on two counts in May 2023, while the jury was unable to reach a verdict on the third count.
