Among the highlights, the company presented the updated Hawkeye 105mm Mobile Howitzer System, the new JLTV A2 with improved trailer and the MIMIC-V — a multi-purpose pickup designed for reconnaissance and drone strike missions.
MIMIC-V: a mobile center for drone operations
According to AM General, the MIMIC-V (Mission Integrated Maneuverable Interoperable Conformable Vehicle) is a special operations platform configured as a mobile drone command center. It integrates UAS systems and heavy weapons to provide troops with rapid observation and attack capabilities.
During AUSA the vehicle was presented with two complementary drone packages:
- Integration with the autonomous systems of XTEND Defensewhich allows drones to be launched, tracked and retrieved without leaving the vehicle.
- Integration with it Viper 300system of SPEAR UAVdesigned for precision attacks and targets beyond line of sight (BLOS).
The company’s goal is to create a mobile combat hub that combines reconnaissance, target marking and offensive capabilities in one vehicle, reducing response time on the battlefield.
TriEye technology improves vision in difficult conditions
The pickup also received a major sensor upgrade with the integration of TriEye’s CMOS-based SWIR (Short-Wave Infrared) technology, which maintains image quality in challenging conditions such as dust, smoke, fog and low light.
According to AM General, “TriEye integration provides unparalleled situational awareness, potentially giving troops a critical advantage across the full spectrum of military operations.”
Focus on agility and lethality
With the MIMIC-V and the newly presented systems, AM General confirms its commitment to “provide flexible and agile solutions for special operations and light infantry units operating in complex environments.”
The company’s booth at AUSA 2025 showcases the evolution of light tactical mobility platforms, which combine digital command and control, modular armament and intelligent sensors for the modern battlefield.
