Minister Alexandre de Moraes, rapporteur for ADPF Favelas, will travel to Rio de Janeiro (RJ) this Monday (3) to hold face-to-face hearings with the following authorities starting next Monday (03/11):
- 11am: Governor of Rio de Janeiro, Cláudio Castro; State Secretary of Public Health; Commander of the Military Police; General Delegate of the Civil Police and Director of the General Superintendence of Technical-Scientific Police.
- 1:30 pm: President of the Court of Justice of the State of Rio de Janeiro.
- 3pm: Attorney General of Rio;
- 4:30 pm: General Public Defender
Furthermore, the judge determined that the state government must provide information on compliance with court decisions during the police operation in the Alemão and Penha complexes, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro (RJ).
The current administration must present a detailed report on the action, which will include the number of agents involved, identification of the active forces and weapons used. The number of people killed, injured and detained will be officially released.
The document will present measures taken before, during and after the mega-operation. Therefore, the formal justification for the event, liability in case of possible abuses and violations of rights and the measures adopted to assist victims and their families will be disclosed.
